Ten tickets in Paris that you’d better buy in advance

You’ve already booked a flight and a hotel, haven’t you? It’s the right time to consider the cultural part of your Parisian trip. Which tickets should you buy in advance? What can you do to avoid queuing? How can you save your money and still take in some excursions? We’ll tell you in this article. All the tickets we are offering are quite easy to buy.

The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is, obviously, the main tourist attraction in Paris. Hence, queuing for the “Iron Lady” can take up to three hours. In one of our previous articles “How you can get to the Eiffel Tower without queuing” we’ve already shared some tips. We strongly recommend you plan your visit in advance. Using this link you’ll find tickets to combined bus tours which include a visit to the Eiffel Tower. You can also buy a waterbus tour or reserve a dinner in the Eiffel Tower restaurant.

It’s hard to believe, but Disneyland is even more popular than the Eiffel Tower. If you are travelling with children, you won’t be able to avoid visiting the amusement park. You can buy a ticket for Disneyland Paris in advance too.

The Louvre

The Louvre is the most popular museum in the world. It is visited by more than 10 million tourists every year. Queuing to the pyramid of the Louvre may take 2 to 3 hours or even 4 in the “high season”. So read our article “Ten tips on how to get to the Louvre quickly and without queuing” and buy a ticket using this link. This way you will not bake in the sun or stay out in the rain waiting for your turn. By the way, we advise you to buy tickets with audio-guide on 9 languages – you’ll get a cheap and educational excursion without wasting too much money.

Versailles is one of the most famous royal palaces in the world. Unfortunately, queues here are very impressive too, especially in summer and at New Year. If you want to get in without any problems, buy tickets from home. You can book a combined service, which includes the transfer to Versailles itself, or you can do the same thing as at the Louvre – buy a ticket with a multilanguage audio-guide.

A show at the Moulin Rouge

Do you want to see the famed French cancan, have a great time and drink champagne? Then you should go to the Moulin Rouge. Trust us, you will never find tickets for tonight’s show. Or tomorrow night either, for that matter. If you are lucky, you’ll manage to buy tickets for the day after tomorrow, but only the most expensive ones. Some tourists get tickets to a show before even booking their flights. Maybe, they are going a bit over the top, but we do recommend you to consider this issue in advance. Find tickets using this link.

A bus tour around Paris

If you can spend no more than two days in Paris, we’d recommend you take a city bus tour. It will save your time and money. You’ll see all the main tourist attractions and, what’s more, use a tour bus as public transport, getting on and off at any bus stop. Find tickets to a tour bus here.

A waterbus in Paris

There is nothing like a short romantic voyage along the Siena. Unfortunately, the queues aren’t so inspiring. The city itself is built in such a way, that the majority of places of interest can be seen perfectly from the river. So, you’ll have a wonderful journey and enjoy splendid views. You’ll get the opportunity to see some of the tourist attractions from a different angle, for example, the Eiffel Tower. To find tickets for a waterbus excursion, follow this link.

The Montparnasse Tower

It is said that you can get the best view of Paris from the Montparnasse Tower roof. It feels like you can literally touch the Eiffel Tower. Check out tickets to this wonderful Parisian place.

Musée d'Orsay

Musée d'Orsay is the second most popular museum in Paris and it is in the top ten museums in the world. It’s famous for its expressionist exhibitions. Monet, Degas, Van Gogh any many others artists of that epoch are represented there. But the queues for d’Orsay may be even longer than the ones for the Louvre. We can help you with the Louvre, but here we can only give you one recommendation: buy tickets in advance. Otherwise you’ll lose 2 to 3 hours queuing.

The Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe holds pride of place in the top-ten tourist attractions of Paris – and for good reason. Not only is the Napoleonic construction beautiful in itself, it’s also famous for its wonderful views. It’s best to visit it at night-time, when the Eiffel Tower is illuminated. You can buy a ticket in advance without any difficulties.

Of course, we don’t mean that you should buy all your tickets immediately. Be rational. Decide, what you are interested in. Our partners can offer lots of interesting programmes for you. Maybe you’ll find something unique, which we haven’t mentioned in this article.

Buy tickets in advance. It will definitely save your precious time, energy and sometimes even money.

Have a great journey!
